Questions & Answers

1.  What does a "Log Package" cost?

For very simple designs, we can produce a package for about $25.00 per square foot.  More complex designs can go as high as $75.00 per square foot.  But, on average, log packages will cost $30.00 to $40.00 per square foot.     We can usually re-erect your package on site for $5.00 to $10.00 per square foot.

2.  What is included in a "Log Package"?

All log components of your home include: Log walls, log joists, log purlins, log trusses, log support posts, rough bucks or framing for doors and window openings, which are designed to allow for settling of logs.  Electrical columns are drilled and boxes are mortised in log walls.   Pre-drilling for through bolts.

3.  What species of logs do you use?

We use mostly Lodge Pole Pine because of availability and relative low cost in this area.  But we will use  Spruce, Cedar, Larch, Douglas Fir and others if our customer prefers.

4.  How long will it take to build my log home?

Some factors can change the time required, but ordinarily a 1,200 square foot home will require 6 to 8  weeks at our log yard and can be re-erected on your site in about 1 week.

5.  I've seen a picture of .........  Can you build us a log home like that?

We like to have a picture to work from.  This helps our customer to better communicate to us what it is they want.  Just bring us a picture and our log crafters will re-create for you to the best of our ability.

Do you have any more questions?  We would love to answer them for you, just give us a call.
